Day 49

Just returned from dinner with the Betz's and two other NGO's at a Lebanese restaurant called Le Bouquet and sampled various foods the ended the evening smoking from the shisha, an Egyptian waterpipe. All agreed it was mild smoke and non-tar with a slightly fruity smell. The Lebanese dishes were good and mildly spicey. Talked politics re the U.S. and Canada.

Off to bed as I have an early call to thew airport tom as I fly to Abuja, Nigeria to appear before the Ecowas Court to obtain a judgment in an important impunity case out of The Gambia. We intend to hold a press cf after this. The Court case is called for Tues. and we return to Accra on Wed Eve...goodnight everybody...

Dan,
All the Molonys send their best regards. Your schedule sounds grueling. Good luck with the court case in The Gambia. Wow, you were lucky not to have been on the hovercraft the other day, not a good way to go swimming. Before you know it we'll be watching your press conferences on CNN. All is fine here. Our Holidays will be spent at home in Fargo. Maren is doing well on the cruise ship Paradise with Carnival Cruise Lines. She is a singer, dancer.
Ryan will be on the ship Dec. 3rd. Several of us plan to vacation on the ship in Feb. to see her perform in person. Have a very Happy Thankgiving.
Love, Mike, Connie, and boys.
